ITACCS Special Hands-On Skills Workshops offer you, the marketer, the opportunity to actively participate in the educational process. Course attendees spend
dedicated time with you and your product they are there to specifically learn about your device, to touch it, become familiar with it. Plus, an ITACCS faculty
member does the teaching!
ITACCS currently offers five special workshops, with more being developed now:
- Difficult Airway Management in the Emergency Trauma Patient
- Pain Management and Regional Anesthesia for Trauma Care
- Pediatric Trauma Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Critical Care
- Special Equipment and Techniques for Trauma Care
- Simulators for Trauma Care
We are interested in producing a "package" for your company that best suits your marketing and advertising needs, doing this as economically as possible, and
maximizing your return on investment.
Some companies that market a variety of products participate in more than one workshop (at the same inclusive price). The fee for the workshop is significantly
higher than the simple exhibit fee; however, there is clearly a difference in the level of interaction with course participants.
The best way to optimize your participation in the workshop is to structure your station to be interactive. That is, it should be designed such that the course
registrant has to do something, in addition to listening to the presentation. Regarding the presentation, per se, it should be understood that these stations are
considered to be an actual part of the course, for which the registrant is receiving CME credit. Therefore, it is worth spending time preparing a concise 5-7 minute
presentation covering pertinent topics to the design of the product, rationale for its use, etc.
It is our intention that these products be integrated into the course such that ITACCS Faculty Members have the opportunity in advance to coordinate with the
manufacturer. Part of this consideration should include the opportunity to receive and review prepared 35mm slides, as well as any literature (peer reviewed, etc.)
that exists on the product(s), in addition to being able to include this information as part of the documents within the syllabus. This coordination is often the most
difficult part of the process, as when a company decides to participate in the workshop at the "last minute," it is virtually impossible for us to accomplish our intention.
Ideally, a three month advance notice should exist.
